To Report a Trail Emergency

Call DPMBP directly at (970) 568-4200 to report any hazardous situations or emergencies that require immediate attention by a Certified Patrol Member.

We define any hazardous sitution or emergency as an event or condition that jepordizes the well being of any individual while on the trails such as aggressive wildlife, inclement weather conditions, large unmovable debris, severe erosion, or physical injury that renders a person inmobile.

Submitting News and Events

If you are submitting news or events to appear on DPMBP.org, we would prefer that your articles be emailed HERE. Your articles will be reviewed much quicker and have a greater chance of being shared with the community if you are submitting via email. However, if you do not have access to email, we are happy to accept your article by USPS or fax. Our address and fax number can be found in the upper left hand corner of this page.

Visitors are welcome to use our CALENDAR to post their events. We request that visitors follow the TERMS OF SERVICE and PRIVACY statements found on this site before posting.

Sharing Ideas or Expressing Concerns

Advocacy is a large part of who we are as an organization. Our goals on the trails and in the public are to identify the challenges between mountain biking enthusiasts, the public, and the environment to achieve a healthy, co-existence for everyone in Northern Colorado. We encourage the exchange the free exchange of ideas and the sharing of concerns as they related to mountain biking.

To ensure that your ideas and concerns are heard, we encourage the public to share with us via EMAIL whenever possible. Learning About the DPMBP

Member meetings are held monthly during the patrol season (March through October) and are open to the public. See the activities calendar to find out times and places.

Preserving the Mountain Biking Community

You enjoy throwing a leg over a bike, riding until your heart is content and you enjoy meeting new people that work within our community to preserve the mountain biking experience. Several opportunities await you in the community as a volunteer and as an advocate to make Northern Colorado a home for mountain biking enthusiasts for years to come. You will have the opportunity to become a vital contributor to DPMBP within the organization and in the community.

Working to Preserve the Trail Experience

You love mountain biking and you care about helping other mountain biking enthusiasts to enjoy the trails as much as you do. Certified Mountain Bike Patrollers work to assist other on the trails in medical and or mechanical emergencies. You will have the opportunity to educate trail users of proper etiquette using IMBA’s Rules of the Trail, maintain contact with local land agencies regarding trail conditions or incidents, and work side by side, ride by ride, with Outreach members on advocacy and trail work.
