Trail Summary
Killpecker is a fun trail to ride because of the technical rocks and roots. It is a difficult climb to ride up the trail from the trailhead, but if you return up Deadman toward Red Feather and take a right on FR300 you will enjoy the ride much more. The profile shown on the map is following this route using FR300.
Trail Location
From Fort Collins take Highway 287, 21 miles north to Livermore. At Livermore turn left onto Redfeather Lakes Road and travel west approximately 31 miles (the road becomes gravel just past the village of Redfeather Lakes). The trailhead is on the south (left) side of the road right across from the North Fork of the Poudre Campground.
Trail Information
The trail ascends steep and rocky from the trailhead. The trail can be more enjoyable to ride back Deadman Road to FR300 for a moderate climb.
